Politymaker is a humble platform created by myself (Rob Parsa) dedicated to explaining how political institutions work, in the United States and globally. In an era of noise, Politymaker is meant to bring clarity, context, and seriousness to public civics.
Through thoughtful videos and analysis, I hope I can show:
How institutions succeed, fail, or become bent to the will of power
The hidden rules and structures shaping political life
Historical case studies that shed light on contemporary conflicts
Perhaps most important: the human side of politics and how decision-making affects ordinary lives
Editorial Stance: The project is guided by secularist values and a liberal-democratic framework. Freedom of thought, transparent and accountable institutions, civic order, and individual rights are all emphasized. I am skeptical of populist extremes and authoritarian shortcuts. While I do not glorify power, I do believe in recognizing the intent behind political actions. I see recognizing intent to be essential in learning from a historical figure's failures as much as their successes.

My name is Rob Parsa. I'm a 22-year-old analyst and explainer based in Maryland. My interest in how power structures can work and fail comes partly from personal experience: I've seen how institutions can both protect and harm people, depending on whether they are designed with a consideration for accountability and human dignity in mind.
I do not have a traditional academic background. What I do have is curiosity, a commitment to research, and a belief that ordinary people deserve clear, honest explanations of the systems governing their lives.
Learn how a 1943 wartime wage freeze accidentally created a system that strips millions of their health coverage at the moment they lose their jobs.
97 million Mexicans were asked to elect their judges but only a small fraction did. What does this tell us about judicial independence and legitimacy?
If you like what I'm doing, please know Politymaker is a one-man show; I lack institutional backing. It's just some research and a belief that serious civic explanation matters.
